Within the Bolton brand there are three different types of logo:
- The main brand logo
- Extended brand logos (for various private and public sector partners)
- Partner endorsement logos (for companies to show their support)
All communications materials that feature the Bolton brand should be approved by Bolton Council's Communications and Marketing Agency before production or use. You can contact the agency by phone or email with any queries and we'll be happy to help.
The main brand logo
This is the logo that is used to promote Bolton. It represents Bolton as a place – not a council or other body – and using it is about constantly reminding people what a diverse and characterful place Bolton is. Please make sure that you stick to all the guidelines when using it – don’t let the side down!
Extended brand logos
In addition to the main logo, there are a number of extended logos,
designed to represent the various private and public sector partners
working together to give Bolton a better future.
These include:
– Bolton Council
– Bolton Vision (Bolton Council’s strategic partnership)
– Business Bolton (all business services and promotion)
– Visit Bolton (promoting Bolton as a tourist destination)
– Access Bolton (for accessing local services)
– Bolton Life! (promoting what’s on in Bolton)
– Bolton Town Centre Management
– Bolton Museum and Archive Service
– The Albert Halls Bolton

Partner endorsement logos
The Octagon Theatre, Royal Bolton Hospital, Bolton School and Bolton Wanderers, to name a few, have all pledged their support and willingness to use the Bolton brand alongside their own, joining forces to promote Bolton.
To enable them to show their support, an endorsement logo or badge is available for use. This badge is flexible, so that it can be worded to reflect the work of the partner, or as a generic pledge to be 'part of the Bolton Family'. The Royal Bolton Hospital's endorsement badge, for example, reflects its commitment to 'caring for the Bolton Family'.
